Keep kids from getting hangery! We have greatly reduced meltdowns by making sure my kids don’t get overly hungry
Another reason children can my more irritable is food! If my kids are hungry or thirsty they can be little beasts. Making sure we bring snacks and water with us every time we leave.
Feeding them after school is also huge. We gave up traditional meal timing and eat lunch, and eat at 4pm anfter school then have dinner at 6:30-7pm.
Another things that helped me was cutting up veggies and offering a veggie tray with ranch dip.
If there are snacks in the cupboard I want to get eaten up I take them out. Putting them out on the kitchen.
The same way the veggie tray works, my Kids come looking for snacks and food. They walk past the dinning table and grab something off there. This way they don’t get overwhelmed with choices. I get fruits, veggie, crackers, and crisps that need to be eaten up, out of the way.
